Tuesday night the Lionette volleyball team  played our original cross-town rival, McKinney North. It wasn’t just the volleyball teams going at it, no, it was the battle of the student sections — the sea of orange vs. the crazy costumes of Lion Nation. Students dressed anywhere from a sombrero and mustaches to a full on elephant suit. The games might have been at McKinney North, but the lions were very much heard in the stands. Someone must have brought a broom because our Lionettes swept the Bulldogs in 3 games, which put the North student section in dead silence. The Lionettes have now defeated McKinney Boyd and North this season, and will play against North one more time in a home game on October 17^th at 5:30 in the annual Pink Out game.
