Science, math and engineering students attended a Raytheon sponsored event yesterday to recognize Engineering Week y. Over a 150 students from area high schools were divided into teams of five, and were challenged to build electronic circuits and develop a design plan for implementing these circuits to protect their flag in a virtual “Capture the Flag” game.
McKinney High earnned 5 of 18 awards. Matthew Barrett and Chase Hendrickson were each awarded $50 gift cards for exceptional leadership. Ryan Joseph, Sean Starkey, and James Stricklen were members of the 2nd place team and were each awarded $25 gift cards.
