FFA members exhibited their breeding swine projects at the Fort Worth Livestock Show on January 19-21. Hannah Fincher placed 5th with her Chester White. Mara Vernier placed 6th with her Yorkshire. Out of the 100 breeding gilts at the Stock Show, Lily Carter, Paige Kelley, Keli Jo Cummings and Ashlee Daniels placed respectfully in their swine classes.

FFA members also competed at the San Antonio Breeding Gilt Show on February 8-11. Fincher placed 11th with her Chester White and Vernier placed 2nd with her Chester White. Ashlee Daniels placed 2nd with her Duroc. Cole Carter placed 1st and won Reserve Breeding Champion Duroc. Cole Carter beat 282 Duroc’s in his section to become Champion.

The next show will be held March 2-3 at the Houston Live Stock Breeding Gilt.
