Aviation went on a field trip to see commercial airplanes on Friday.
The class is a new elective that allows students to become pilots or other certifications in fours years.
“Earlier we built model planes,” main instructor Jerry Ashton said. “We flew them in the hallway which was fun.”
As opposed to seeing fighter planes, the class looked at commercial ones instead.

“They were more corporate or civilian than fighter,” Ashton said.
The course has no prerequisite and is math involved.
The course also does a few other fun activities like at the homecoming game when they flew over the stadium.
