Let’s take a look at one of the most important arguments in film. Part One.
Here are Three Films Where CGI Didn’t Bother me so much:
Star Wars Episode III – Revenge of the Sith: As much as people like to hate on this movie, as well as the rest of the prequels, I quite enjoyed it. Maybe people were holding over hate from the previous two films, but I quite enjoyed this one. As much as the originals? No, but what could ever live up to that? Episode VII? Hopefully. But probably not. Either way, the Computer Effects in this movie complimented the plot in this movie and didn’t come off as a video game cutscene, even though most of the footage was used in video game cutscenes.
The Avengers: Joss Whedon is a genius. He wrote a brilliant script and it wouldn’t have mattered whether or not the effects were done with Muppets or not. It was a great superhero film. Incredibly entertaining.
Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: Here, the computer effects are used to emulate the feel of a graphic novel, and it is successful and results in a beautifully stylized movie.
